Heart was left completely paralyzed and abandoned a year ago. However, he was rescued by the “Qua la zampa” association in Bitonto, located in the province of Bari. His rescuers named him Heart. Unfortunately, Heart has been suffering from chronic otitis that was never treated, and an inflammation in his spinal column that caused him to lose the use of his hind legs.
Gianna and Heart visited the seaside for the last time before Heart passed away, and the stunning photos that accompanied the post quickly went viral. I also had the chance to visit the beach and it was a beautiful experience. The wind brushed against my ears, the waves crashed against the rocks, and the sound of the sea in the quiet of winter was truly calming. I almost fell asleep, forgetting about the pain of being unloved, the aches that are starting to appear, and the agony of not being able to run with the puppy who chased after his stone. I couldn’t touch the water, but thanks to humans, they brought some to me and moistened my nose with cool and fragrant freedom.
