A fortunate dog in Serbia was provided with a fresh start in life thanks to the help of rescuers. The Dog Rescue Shelter Mladenovac, Serbia shared a video informing that they had been contacted about an abandoned dog that had been left tied to a post and was all by itself. The rescue team found the dog and met some caring citizens who had reached out for help, as they were worried for the dog’s well-being but couldn’t take care of it themselves. Luckily, the rescue organization was there to come to the dog’s aid.
As I walked by, I noticed a dog tied to a post with a blue plastic rope. At first glance, it seemed like the pup had a skin problem on its face, but upon closer inspection, I realized that the lumps were actually large ticks. That’s not all, as I examined the pooch’s body, I discovered that he was infested with ticks. One of the ticks even burst on its face, spilling blood into its eye. It was heartbreaking to see the poor dog in such a condition.
No one knows the reason behind leaving the adorable dog or how he ended up with a severe tick infestation. Nevertheless, the silver lining was that he would finally have a shot at a better life. The rescue team put him in their vehicle and headed to the shelter. Unfortunately, he couldn’t join the other dogs in the shelter due to his tick problem.
Outside of the shelter, they bathed him and removed a bunch of gross ticks from his fur. Afterwards, they treated him to a delicious meal.
